The Megas have been added to the ever growing list of bands for Bit Gen Gamer Fest 5. This event will be epic when  August comes around!

For anyone who will be in the RVA area in two weeks, The Protomen will be playing at The Plaza Bowl in Southside on March 24th with the start time at 8:00 pm.

In other good news, the date and venue has been set for Bit Gen Gamer Fest 5. The date is set for Saturday August 14, 2010  at The Sonar in Baltimore, MD. So far, the confirmed bands  are Entertainment System, Rare Candy, Armadillo Tank, The X Hunters, The Ultraball, This Place is Haunted, and Powerglove. My god how I have missed Powerglove! It’s been about 2 MAGfests since I’ve seen them and I’m going through withdrawal since my Metal Kombat For the Moral Man cd has stopped working from me playing it so much. (Yes I do have the mp3 ripped on my computer, but I hid them from myself. That happens when you upgrade from a 250 Gig  to 1 TB hard drive.)

And the best news is, this list is going to get longer! I hope the Protomen can come back this year. I wasn’t able to see them perform since I had to leave early last year. (Tired driver + No $ for a hotel = Leaving early and missing The Protomen :(   ) But this year I will stay the entire time, even if I have to sleep in my car afterward. But I have to get invited back again. I really hope I get invited back. It was a lot of fun last year and this year looks to be epic!

I’ll post more updates as they come along. In the meantime, enjoy the music from the bands pages. :)

While attending MAGFest last January, we had the pleasure of sitting next to 8-Bit Artist in the vendor area. We shot the breeze about a number of topics and he invited us to attend Bit Genocide; a video game concert and art show that he was involved in. It’s taking place on August the 22nd at The Ottobar in Baltimore, MD. Come by, say Hi. We’ll be waiting.

We attended MAGFest 7 this year as vendors, which was quite the experience. We’ve gone to every MAGFest since #3 in as either guest or staff and had a blast at all of them. For those of you not in the know, MAGFest is a annual fan run video game convention in Alexandria, VA. It attracts some of the best and brightest of the video game cover/remix music scene, noted entertainment personalities, and even some record breaking events. This year was possibly the best yet for any number of reasons. We debuted two new models, sold about 40 hats, met tons of new people and even got some good pictures. I’m going to try to post every couple of days about something MAGFest related. If I’m lucky, I’ll be done talking about it in a month or so. Peace out.
